Denomination: Monica NABUI - Sardinian red wine
Monica was one of the earliest vines to be introduced to Sardinia and is cultivated - albeit to varying extents - throughout the island, on a total surface area of around 3,000 hectares.
The grape gives of its best in chalky soils of medium depth on well-exposed, medium-gradient hillsides. The eponymous wine made exclusively from Monica grapes is laced with fresh fragrances of blackberries, cherries and red fruit jam, along with a delicate spicyness. It is warm and pleasantly smooth on the palate.
